Gold prices today hit yet another record high today in Indian futures markets, supported by firm global rates. On MCX, gold futures rose 0.3% to Rs.56,850 per 10 gram at day’s high while silver edged higher to Rs.68,743 per kg. Gold Rate rise Rs 6000 today: Check latest rates.

Bullion has been rallying since early November on declines in the dollar and Treasury yields, spurred by expectations that Fed will turn less hawkish. Since the start of November, gold is up about RS.6,000 in less than three months.

Gold Price Today 22 carat gold 22K Gold was sold at Rs 5,293 per 10 grams in the market. On Thursday, while (24K Gold) 24 carat gold was sold at Rs 55,580 per 10 grams yesterday. That is, there was no increase or decrease in the price of gold today.

According to bankbazaar.com, if we talk about silver, the silver which was being sold at Rs 74,800 per kg in Bhopal’s bullion market on Thursday, will be sold at Rs 73,500 on Friday. Today there is a decrease in the prices of silver.

How to identify the purity of gold

Hall marks are given by the International Organization for Standardization to identify the purity of gold. 999 is written on 24 carat gold jewellery, 958 on 23 carat, 916 on 22 carat, 875 on 21 carat and 750 on 18 carat. Mostly gold is sold in 22 carat, while some people also use 18 carat. Carat does not exceed 24, and the higher the carat, the purer the gold.

Know the difference between 22 and 24 carat gold

24 carat gold is 99.9 percent pure and 22 carat is about 91 percent pure. Jewellery is prepared by mixing 9% other metals like copper, silver, zinc in 22 carat gold. While 24 carat gold is the purest, please tell that jewellery cannot be made of 24 carat gold. That’s why most shopkeepers sell gold in 22 carat.
