Gold price jump to highest rate: Check latest rate in your city

Gold price jump: Gold prices in India rose to near one-month high in India when futures on MCX rose 0.2% about Rs 51,000 per 10 gram. Silver futures however edged lower by 0.3% to Rs 60350 per kg. Gold price jump to highest rate: Check latest rate in your city.

In global markets, gold had surged nearly 3% on Friday after a sharp pullback in dollar index. However, bullion was down 0.4% at $1,672.99 per ounce in global markets today as the dollar index rose again. On November 7, 2022, the price of gold in India for both 22 and 24 carat observed significant hike. 

10 gram of 24 carat gold priced Rs 51,160 in India, while 10 gram of 22 carat gold cost Rs 46,900. Over the past 24 hours, variations in gold prices have been seen in several major Indian cities.

Jewelery gold prices in Chennai were Rs 4,770 per gram and Rs 38,160 per gram as on Saturday evening. The price of 22 carat jewelery rose by Rs 5 to Rs 4,775 per gram and by Rs 40 to Rs 38,200 per gram today (Monday).

Gold is selling at Rs 4,775 per gram in Coimbatore, Trichy and Vellore. Despite the swings in gold prices last week, prices did not fall much. Last week, the gram opened at Rs 4715 and ended the trade with an increase of Rs 55 per gram. The price of gold has started rising at the beginning of this week as well.
