Diwali Festival: Indian Railways to run 9 new Vande Bharat Express Train

The Railway Department is reportedly planning to launch nine new Vande Bharat Express trains in the country before Diwali. Media reports that Vande Bharat Express trains can ply on the Central Railway section.

Indian Railways is making a lot of efforts to reduce the rush of Diwali festival. Many schemes have been devised to run special trains between major cities. Indian Railways plans to launch nine new Vande Bharat Express.

The Railway Department is reportedly planning to launch nine new Vande Bharat Express trains in the country before Diwali. Media reports that Vande Bharat Express trains can ply on the Central Railway section. Railway officials said that the remaining new routes of Vande Bharat trains are yet to be finalized.

A process to identify potential routes is in progress. Prime Minister Modi has inaugurated 9 routes of Vande Bharat Express train in the country. Officials have informed that nine routes will be reopened before Diwali.

Upcoming Vande Bharat Express Routes:

New Vande Bharat trains are planned to run on Mumbai to Jalna, Pune to Secunderabad and Mumbai to Kolhapur routes. Experimentation needs to be carried out before formal operation of these lines. The other six routes are likely to be finalized soon, officials said.

Varanasi-Tatanagar Vande Bharat Express:

These nine Vande Bharat Express routes are yet to be announced. Indian Railways is all set to launch the second semi-high-speed train from Varanasi. It operates between Varanasi and Tatanagar with a rake of 8 coaches.

The new Varanasi-Tatanagar Vande Bharat Express will operate with a total of 6 stops during its run. Tatanagar Junction, Purulia Junction, Bokaro City, Gaya Junction, Upadhyaya Junction and Varanasi Junction.

Varanasi-Tatanagar Vande Bharat Express will depart from Tatanagar Junction at 6 AM. It will reach Varanasi Junction at 1:50 PM. Vande Bharat Express covers a distance of 574 kilometers in approximately 7 hours 50 minutes. Departs Varanasi at 2:35 PM to return to Tatanagar. Reach Tata Nagar at 10:00 PM.
