Diwali Bonus: Only these employees will get Festival Bonus

In all the government offices, the discussion has started about the Diwali festival bonus, when and how much will be given. Following this, the Central Government has given Diwali Bonus to the Central Government employees.

Central government has given Diwali bonus to the employees. Employees will get bonus up to a maximum of Rs 7000. Group C and Non-Gazetted Group B Bank Employees will get Diwali Bonus from Central government.

The government gives bonus up to a maximum of Rs 7000 based on various criteria including performance, service attitude, efficiency, punctuality of the respective employees. This will enable the employees to celebrate the festival with more enthusiasm.

The Department of Expenditure, which comes under the purview of the Union Finance Ministry, has announced the bonus and issued an order. Those working from 31st March 2021 are eligible for Diwali Bonus. Group D and contract employees will also get bonus.

Narendra Modi lead Central government gives Diwali bonus every year to Group C, D and contract employees. Central paramilitary forces and armed forces personnel will also benefit from the bonus. There is a possibility that the central government will soon increase the gratuity allowance for the employees. Dearness Allowance will be declared as every year process and lakhs of employees will be benefited from it.

Good news for central government employees: Central approval for DA increase of 4% 7th Pay Commission
The Union Cabinet today approved a 4 per cent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for Central government employees and pensioners. Sources informed that the Center is ready to approve the 4% increase in DA after today’s Union Cabinet meeting.

With this decision, the DA of central government employees will increase from the existing 42% to 46%. The DA hike will provide much-needed relief to several central government employees and pensioners ahead of the festive season. This will positively impact 47 lakh central government employees and 68 lakh pensioners.

The approved DA increase will be effective from July 1, 2023. This means that central government employees will get enhanced salary from the month of November in addition to the dues for the period between July and October.
