The first Solar Eclipse the phenomenon in which the Sun is blocked by the Moon will occur on April 20. Also known as Surya Grahan, the eclipse of April 20 will be a hybrid Solar Eclipse of magnitude 1.01 as per Drik Panchang. The solar eclipse on Thursday will be a hybrid as it will neither be a partial solar eclipse nor a total solar eclipse, instead, it will be a mix of the two. A solar eclipse happens once in 18 months in one part of the world or the other.

When will hybrid solar eclipse begin?

The Hybrid Solar Eclipse will occur on April 20 and will begin at 7 am and will reach its maximum point at 11:30 am. While the eclipse will last for over two hours, the totality, when the Sun is fully covered, will last for less than a minute.

Which cities will witness hybrid solar eclipse 2023?

According to time and date, the hybrid eclipse will be visible in several parts of Australia on Thursday. The path of the solar eclipse does not pass through India and will be visible in some parts of South/East Asia, Australia, the Pacific, the Indian Ocean, and Antarctica. The totality of the eclipse will be visible in Exmouth in Western Australia.

The first solar eclipse of 2023 will take place on April 20. As per astrology, it will occur in Aries and Ashwini Nakshatra. It will start at 7:04 AM and end at 12:29 PM.
