Speaking at the graduation ceremony of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha held at Krishi University Farmer Development Center in Dharwad, he said that language also has an idea.
He said that when we speak in the language in which we think about what to say next, mutual communication will be done properly. Kannada has thousands of years of history. English has a history of five or six hundred years. Therefore, the minister said that Kannada should be given first priority.
Pralhad Joshi said that the world today is looking to India for good doctors, teachers, nurses, yoga teachers. Indian medicine has its own history. Many diseases can be cured only in Ayurveda and Homeopathy. We moved away from India after the introduction of allopathic medicine.
Unknowingly we are part of slavery. Due to this not much research has been done in Ayurveda. Our government is giving permission to Ayurvedic medical colleges. We have made Ayurveda department in all other medical colleges. We have started the Ayush department to promote Ayurveda.
We are not rejecting allopathic medicine. But Joshi said that our system of medicine has its own importance. Governor Thawarchand Gehlot, speaking after conferring the degree, said that Hindi language has been a powerful medium of India since the time of freedom struggle. Mother tongue should be given first priority along with contact language.
In many countries people deal in their mother tongue. It is not true that English is a single evolutionary language. So we should give priority to our local languages, he said. An attempt has been made to make Hindi a contact language. This is good. India is a multilingual country.
There are hundreds of languages here. Among them, important languages have been given constitutional recognition. Acts have been made for the language of administration. Regional language has been given priority in the new education policy.

We should love, respect and learn all the languages of India. Especially those in the medical field should learn all the languages. The Governor said that India is united even in the midst of different languages.
