Modi wishes Trump, Melania speedy recover after they test positive for covid-19

Washington: US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for COVID-19. They will be put under quarantine and begin their recovery process immediately, confirmed Donald Trump on Friday.

Both Donald and Melania Trump have tested positive hours after the US President’s close aide Hope Hicks was tested positive with the deadly infection. Confirming his test report, Donald Trump took to his official Twitter handle saying, “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!”

In an official statement, a White House doctor confirmed that both the US President and the First lady are well and they have been quarantined within their home in the White House.The doctor further confirmed that Donald Trump will carry out duties without disruption during his quarantine period.

Meanwhile, Melania Trump also took to her Twitter handle and confirmed, “As too many Americans have done this year, @POTUS & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.”

In view of the latest development, the White House has removed the Florida campaign trip from Trump’s schedule. The US President was scheduled to attend a fundraiser at his Washington hotel and then travel to Sanford, Florida for a campaign rally.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacted to the news and said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi wishes a quick recovery and good health to US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump after they tested positive for COVID-19”.
