Kundapur: Lock-down orders are being implemented across the country amid the spread of coronavirus. Religious gatherings, ceremonies, mass prayers are prohibited. Church Father and six others have been charged in connection with the prayer of the church in violation of the Lockdown Order.
The public has complained about a mass prayer at St. Anthony’s Church in Padukone in Byndoor Taluk in Udupi district. It is in this backdrop that the policemen of Gangolli Station have come to visit the place.
Against Father Fred Mascarian, six others have been charged with violation of Article 144 (3) of the CRPC.
