Liquor ban: After the Praveen Nettaru Murder Case, the situation in the district is like a pit covered with ash. Also, after the killing of a Muslim youth yesterday, it has become more tense. Dakshina Kannada District Collector Dr. Rajendra KV has issued an order in this regard, on 26-07-2022 at Mastikatte of Bellare village under Bellare Police Station, when Praveen Nettaru was sitting on his bike after closing the door of the shop after night business; three strangers attacked him with handguns. He was seriously injured and died without treatment.
In this background, the situation in the Bellare police station will be turbulent. Further, after the killing of a Muslim youth on 28-07-2022 in the jurisdiction of Dakshina Kannada District Police, the situation will be further tense.
Due to all this bantwala, Puttur, Kadaba, Belthangadi and Sulya taluks of Dakshina Kannada District Police Unit from selling, stocking and transporting any kind of liquor and all liquor shops throughout the district from 29-07-2022 to 8 am on 01-08-2022 Ordered to close.
