Kundapur: Shastri Circle flyover work to be finished by March 31, guarantees NHAI

Kundapur : The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has, in write of the letter kept in touch with the Prime Minister by Vighnesh Shenoy from here, reacted by saying that the long-pending flyover work that is pending since long will be finished by March 31 this year.

This has come as an incredible alleviation for the street clients, especially from the coastal area who frequently had to contend with traffic jams because of pending works. Shenoy had drawn the attention of the Prime Minister to the ordeal faced by the road users and also to the fact that toll charges up to Kundapur is being collected at Hejamady and Sastan toll gates even though road works have not been completed
NHAI has said that the works were postponed at Shastri Circle by virtue of successive alterations in the arrangement and assets crunch looked by the temporary workers and that the work is going on energetically at present. It also added that toll charges are collected only for the completed stretch of the highway and that the toll fee will be enhanced once the remaining road work is completed.
