Coronavirus effects – Churches in Kuwait to remain closed from March 1st to 14th


Kuwait : Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia, Parish of the Holy Family Cathedral has announced, after an emergency meeting that the churches in the country will be closed from March 1 to 14 as per the guidelines passed by the Kuwait government. The coronavirus that affected Kuwait and many other countries.

This decision was taken by the church authorities after the ministry of health of the Kuwait government asked people to avoid public gatherings in the wake of fast-spreading Coronavirus.
After the emergency meeting that was held on February 28 by the clergy and parish council members of the church, it is decided to close the churches from March 1 to 14. There will not be any Mass, retreat, prayer meetings, seminars or any other services. There will be no catechism classes as well.

The announcement further says that the future course of action will be taken more guidelines and directives from the Kuwait government and church authorities to communicate.
In the meantime, the church authorities have requested the faithful to follow spiritual obligation and practice of faith at their respective homes through Participate in the Holy Mass through Catholic TV channels, Read together as a family Scripture readings of the day, Do the Way of Cross, Recite the Holy Rosary and Divine Mercy, Any other spiritual activity.
The church authorities have also asked all faithful to pray especially for quick medical breakthrough and speedy recovery of those infected with Coronavirus.
