Karnataka heavy rainfall alert in next 4 days. Due to the drop in air pressure in the Bay of Bengal, rainfall will be raging in the state for the next four days.

The rainfall will hit the southern hinterland, and according to the Meteorological Department rainfall will occur in 9 districts of the southern hinterland, including Bengaluru. Since there is a possibility of rain in between, there is a possibility of further cold in Bengaluru.

Today and tomorrow, rain is forecast in Bengaluru City, Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Kolar, Mysuru, Mandya, Ramanagara, Tumkur districts. Rainfall is likely to occur in Kodagu, Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts during the last 2 days.

Moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is likely at isolated places over Tiruvallur, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur and Thiruvarur districts of Tamil Nadu and Karaikal during the next few hours, according to Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai predictions.

In an official statement, the weather office stated that light to moderate rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Ranipet, Vellore, Thiruvannamalai, Thirupattur, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Cuddalore, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Thiruchirappalli, Nilgiris and Thirunelveli districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during next 1 to 3 hours.
