Karnataka Heavy Rainfall Alert for 9 days from April 12

Heavy Rainfall Alert: While it has already rained in the southern interior of the state, the temperature is rising in the coastal and northern parts of Karnataka. It rained in many parts of Bengaluru on Tuesday, and now the Indian Meteorological Department has forecast Heavy rainfall in Karnataka from August 12 to 20. Karnataka: Heavy Rainfall Alert for 9 days from April 12.

The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Center has tweeted and shared the information about rainfall for two consecutive weeks as there is a possibility that the rain will cause disruption to the people going on the trip. The department has published a map of Karnataka in which the provinces with moderate rainfall have been identified.

Rainfall forecast has been given identifying the provinces which will receive high, moderate and heavy rainfall. Udupi, Uttara Kannada district, central and eastern taluks of Tumkur, Bengaluru city, Bengaluru rural, central Ramnagar will receive heavy rainfall, east Koppal, southern taluks of Raichur will get moderate Rain.

14 flights diverted for heavy Rainfall and wind: Devanahalli and Hoskote taluks of Bengaluru rural district received heavy rain with thunder and lightning on Tuesday evening. It rained in the Kempegowda International Airport area as well, and many flights scheduled to arrive at the airport were diverted due to inclement weather. According to the information given by the airport authorities, a total of 14 flights have been diverted.

Out of that, 12 flights were diverted to Chennai airport, one each to Coimbatore airport and Hyderabad airport. 7 flights of IndiGo, 3 of Vistara, 2 of Akasa and 1 of Go Air have been rerouted. In addition, it is said that the traffic of 4 flights has been delayed, and it is known that the flights between 4 to 5 pm has been delayed due to heavy wind and rain.
