IMD issued Heavy Rainfall alert in these 4 states

IMD Heavy Rainfall alert: Severe thunderstorms have set in across the country, but thundershowers are expected at many places over Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan. IMD issued Heavy Rainfall alert in these 4 states. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), unseasonal rains may occur in these areas.

There is a possibility of thunder, lightning and strong winds at some places. According to IMD, North Maharashtra, South Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat are expected to receive light rain from Saturday to next Tuesday March 4 to 7. Light to moderate rain with thundershowers is likely over West Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan from March 4 to 6.

According to the IMD, heavy rainfall and storm are expected over East Madhya Pradesh on March 5 and 6 and vidarbha from March 5 to 7. However, strong surface winds (reaching speeds of 20-30 kmph) are likely over the northwest India during the next 3 days.

Keeping in view the chances of this cyclone, IMD has issued yellow alert for West Madhya Pradesh on Saturday, entire MP on Sunday and East MP and Vidarbha on Monday and Tuesday. According to the India Meteorological Department, hot winds are likely to blow in various areas of coastal Karnataka in the next 2 days.

The maximum temperature is likely to remain between 36-38°C (3-5°C above normal) over North Kerala, South Konkan and Goa during the next 2 days. From March 5, the maximum temperature in these areas is expected to drop by around 2 degrees Celsius. However, the IMD expects no significant change in day temperatures in central India over the next two days.

But after this the temperature may drop to around 2 degrees Celsius. West India is likely to witness an increase of 2-3 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature over the next two days. HAL in Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 30.0 degrees Celsius, minimum temperature of 14.8 degrees Celsius, city recorded a maximum temperature of 30.7 degrees Celsius.
