Establishment of Industrial Zone in 5 lakh hectares: Nirmala Sitharaman

New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the government has decided to expand the industrial zone and set up an industrial zone of 5 lakh hectares.

In the wake of the Corona lockdown, the central government announced a special package.

The central government has taken the initiative to expand the industrial sector and will set up a zone of 33 lakh industrial zones with an area of about 5 lakh hectares. Emphasis is also placed on providing infrastructure to industrial sectors. He stressed the importance of the development of sectors such as coal, mineral, defence, aviation, aerospace, power supply to the Union Territories and nuclear power.
