Puttur: As the corona virus spreads, the state government has stepped up to conduct a Covid-19 health survey. Teachers were also assigned to this task. Now it is scared as corona virus been diagnosed in teacher worked in health survey.
Along the coast, the corona virus is increasing. The number of infected people in the Udupi district is over a thousand borders. Dakshina Kannada district is now a double century. Anxiety worsens coastlines as coronavirus spreads. In the meantime, teachers of Kadapa taluk in Dakshina Kannada district conducted a health survey under the direction of the government since May.
A week ago, a teacher had a kidney problem. Teacher was admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore. Corona virus is confirmed when doctors inspect the patient during this time. Teachers are being shifted to corona hospital immediately. But where the corona spread to teachers remains a mystery.
Not only that, teacher’s Home has already been sealed and those in primary and secondary contact with the teachers are being inspected. Teachers across the state were putting themselves in the work of Health Watch. Schools have resumed now. The department has instructed teachers to attend school. Teachers have been attending schools since Monday. Infectious anxiety worries teachers as teachers work in corona infected areas. Even going to school and holding parent meetings is a disaster.
The SSLC exam is also starting in 20 days, and now that teachers go to school, it is highly possibly that the infection will be spread to the entire group of teachers. The Health Watch survey did not provide a PPE kit for teachers. No safety measures were taken. That is why corona has not conducted an inspection so far. The corona infection has been confirmed to police who have already done check post duty. And most people are diagnosed with no symptoms. Thus, the infection could be detected by checking teachers.
What should be done if teachers are infected during the SSLC exam is worrying teachers in this regard, Schools should be opened soon after the, health checks for people worked in check posts, and hospitals, including health checks for those involved in the fight against Covid-19 infection. There is a lot of talk that teachers should not be called for school at least the SSLC exam starts. The fact that hundreds of parents of children attend school enrolment and preschool meetings does not rule out the possibility that teachers can spread the infection to parents.
