BANGALORE: The spread of coronavirus virus has caused public anxiety in the state. Congress MLA and former minister Zameer Ahmed Khan has been outraged over the Corona issue. Even Congress leaders critisized his statement.
In the wake of Corona, an Asha activist, who was on her way home from health care, was assaulted in the Sadiq Nagar layout of Sarai Palya, Bangalore. The case was the cause of massive outrage across the state. But lawmaker Zameer Ahmed Khan made an irresponsible statement about the incident.
Following this, a group of health department, BBMP and police personnel attacked the home quarantine in Padarayanapura, who had come in contact with the coronavirus. *Despite of whole Padarayanapura area being sealed down after 9 people got coronavirus,ruckus erupted in Padarayanapura allegedly over shifting of suspected COVID-19 persons to quarantine facility by the BBMP officials*.
People were startled by the incident. But Zameer Ahmad Khan, who was supposed to lead the people of his constituency to the right, has now come out in a rage to justify them.
This is not the first time Zameer Ahmed Khan has made irresponsible statements. There have been many accusations against Zamir Ahmed while he was in the JDS party. Zameer joined the Congress Party with the grace of former CM Siddaramaiah, who was impeached by Kumar Swamy. He was also a minister in the Congress-JDS coalition government.
The behavior of Zameer Ahmed on the issue of corona has embarrassed the Congress leaders. This is why many senior leaders have even expressed their displeasure with Zameer in the inner circle of the Congress. KPCC president DK Shivakumar said the Congress would fully support the government on the issue.
