New Delhi: Covid-19 testing for pizza home delivery boy has been confirmed. The district collector has ordered a home quarantine for 72 families whose order has been delivered by the same boy.
He was working as a delivery boy at a popular pizza delivery centre in the city of Malviya, Delhi. On Tuesday he was tested positive for corona. Soon the other 16 staff at the pizza centre were home quarantined. 72 families in the southern district of Delhi, who have been given pizza delivery, have been quarantined and their health is being taken care of, said District Collector BM Mishra.
All those who deliver food are advised to wear a mask and follow all safety measures. It is imperative that all those who have been in contact with the corona infected become home quarantine as a precautionary measure.
Delivery boy had been diagnosed with infection for about 20 days and is now being treated at the Hospital.
Many orders are served from the Pizza Centre through the Zomato Food Delivery app.
Other staff working with an infected Delivery Boy had tested positive for Covid-19 test. National News Channel reports that the restaurant where delivery boy was working has been closed temporarily.
Covid-19 cases in Delhi are on the rise, so far 30 people have been died with 1,578 cases of coronavirus.
