However, the Southwest Monsoon is forecast to become active again toward the end of September, bringing a significant increase in rainfall across the state, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The latest forecasts from the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) and the IMD indicate that several parts of the state are likely to receive scattered light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds over the coming days.
Heavy Rain Expected from September 29:
According to the IMD, rainfall activity is expected to intensify across Karnataka from September 29. Coastal Karnataka and the Malnad region are likely to witness heavy rainfall, while the rain belt is expected to gradually extend into the interior districts from October 1.
The KSNDMC has forecast dry and warm weather across most interior districts for the time being. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain high, with partly cloudy skies developing during the afternoon and evening. Increased humidity combined with daytime heating could trigger isolated thunderstorms accompanied by light rainfall in some areas.

September 27–28:
No heavy rain warning has been issued for the coastal, north interior, or south interior districts. However, isolated light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are likely during this period.
September 29:
Weather conditions are expected to change significantly over coastal Karnataka, marking the beginning of a spell of heavy rainfall.
September 30:
Widespread heavy rain is expected to continue across the coastal districts.
October 1–2:
Rainfall activity is likely to spread to the interior districts, with several areas expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall. Bengaluru is expected to witness warm and humid weather over the next few days, with partly cloudy skies during the afternoon and evening. As September draws to a close, isolated parts of the city are likely to receive light to moderate thundershowers, according to weather officials.
