Rana Naidu also stars his uncle Venkatesh Daggubati in a pivotal role. While promoting the show, Rana Daggubati sat down for an interview with Aishwarya Mohanraj, who pointed out that he has delivered only two hits in his career, Baahubali and Baahubali 2. When she asked him if he felt bad about not getting to play Baahubali in SS Rajamouli’s hit franchise, he replied, “No, but there were two Baahubalis that were needed to kill me. That’s how life flows.”

When Aishwarya Mohanraj asked how the Oscars party for Baahubali was, he got awkward, and said, We didn’t have an Oscars party for Baahubali. The Baahubali franchise was not in the running for the Academy Awards, unlike Rajamouli’s latest film, RRR.

Rana Daggubati was also asked if Rajamouli still answers his calls after RRR got an Oscar nomination. Describing how he perceives Rajamouli, the actor said, “He’s more boss, captain, mentor type, it’s a type of a relationship of respect.”
