Although the movie Bahubali 2 was a big hit in the Bollywood region, the demand for southern movies in Bollywood was not created by that movie. The demand for south movies has really started in a big way after covid. Pushpa 2 reach 100 crore collections before its release.

Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa was the first movie to enter the Bollywood market after the end of Covid and became a hit. That movie showed that there is a big market for south movies in north India. The movie KGF 2 was released and created history. After that, RRR, Vikram, Kantara movies followed the same. Now the shooting of Pushpa 2 is in full swing and will hit the theatres in a few days.

The producer sold the dubbing rights of Pushpa movie at a very low price because the market for southern movies in Bollywood was not estimated at that time. Now a separate fan base has been created for Pushpa cinema and a big market has also been created in North India for South movies.

So, without repeating the mistake made during the first movie, the Maitri Movie Makers production company has decided to sell all the rights of the movie for a huge amount. The movie Pushpa, which was released in 2021, earned around 400 crores at the box office, but the pre-release business of Pushpa 2 has crossed 500 crores.

Big OTTs have lined up to buy the OTT rights of the movie and are standing on their toes to offer huge sums. The first movie was bought by Amazon Prime Video, while Netflix, Sony Liv and Zee5 were also interested in buying the second part and made a huge offer.

The OTT rights of Pushpa 2 are expected to be around 150 crores. In addition to this, the audio rights of the movie are expected to be sold for around 30 to 40 crores and the digital rights for around 150 crores. According to some sources, it is said that the production house has already earned 500 crores from the sale of various rights of the movie,but not sure about this.
