School Vacation 2024 extend in these places: Issued new order
Due to extreme cold, dense fog and cold wave, school holidays have been extended in dozens of districts again in Uttar Pradesh.

Schools will now open on Monday, January 29. Students of classes 1 to 8 will benefit from this, while classes for students of classes 9 to 12 will continue as usual. Besides, schools in Haryana, Chandigarh and Jammu have been ordered to remain closed till January 28.
School holidays extended in these districts of UP, Aligarh District Magistrate Inder Vikram Singh said on Saturday, January 27, in the wake of severe cold wave and cold in the district, in all schools of Basic Education Council, non-government aided, recognized and other boards like CBSE, ICSE, Class VIII from Nursery a holiday has been declared.

Schools will be closed on January 28 due to Sunday, so now schools will open from January 29. All the teachers, tutors, teaching assistants, non-teaching staff working in the schools stay in the school for a fixed period of time and perform departmental and school related work.
Varanasi District Magistrate Arvind Kumar Pathak ordered the closure of classes 1 to 8 in all council schools, all recognized CBSE boards, ICSE boards and all schools of all boards on January 27. Teachers and headmasters, tutors and discipline assistants are present in council schools and carry on administrative work. All Block Education Officers should ensure compliance with the said order.
As per instructions of District Magistrate, keeping in view the prevailing cold wave and thaw in the weather, all the schools (Nursery to Class 8) in the district will be holiday on 27th January. Academic/non-academic staff are present in schools and perform their official responsibilities.

Ballia, Badaun and Lucknow will also have a holiday, so now schools will open on 29th. Badaun DM Manoj Kumar has ordered that all government, non-government, private, Kasturaba schools and Anganwadi centers up to class VIII will be closed on January 24 and 27. Classes in all schools from Class IX to 12 can be conducted online Offline classes will be conducted from 10 am to 3 pm.
Holidays have also been extended in Chandigarh/Haryana/Jammu:
In the union territory of Chandigarh, holidays in schools up to class V have been extended till January 28, now schools will open on January 29. Officially, due to winter, schools will remain closed till January 25, but after that also on January 26 and January 27. It’s a holiday. After this, January 28 is a Sunday, so now schools open only on January 29.
In Haryana too, a holiday has been declared for schools up to class 5 on January 27, now schools will open on January 29. All the schools up to class 12th in Jammu division will be closed till January 27th, so since January 28th is a Sunday, the schools here will also open on January 29th.
