As per the new rule, the candidates appearing for the Karnataka SSLC and 2nd PUC examination in the first attempt have been given the opportunity to appear for the 2nd and 3rd examination even if they have not appeared for the first examination. However, it is mandatory to register for the first exam. It is learned that the rule has been changed because the examination board needs data.

Score Improvement System:

Marks correction system has been implemented for all the students who have taken the second PUC examination. According to the earlier rules, if a candidate rejected the marks obtained in the first annual examination and appeared for the second time, the marks of the second time would be considered. This would be unfair to the student.

For example, if a student who secured 50 marks in the first examination and failed in the 2nd examination with 25 marks, the candidate would be considered as failed. These rules have been amended and as per the new timings good marks in both the exams will be considered. This way, even if the student fails in the 2nd exam, there is no need to fear.
