School Summer Holidays Date Announced: Big Relief for Students

School Summer Holidays: There is good news for school students. As soon as the board exams are over, the summer vacation for schools has started. Before April, various states have started declaring summer vacation in schools. In this sequence, summer vacation has been declared in schools in Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Chandigarh, during which schools will remain closed for one to one and a half months.

According to the school calendar 2024 released by the Directorate of School Education Delhi, this time summer vacation in Delhi will be start from 11 May to 30 June 2024. All teachers will come to school from June 28. Before this, in the month of March, there are holidays of Holi on 25th, Good Friday on 29th March, Eid-ul-Fitr on 11th April, Rama Navami on 17th April and Mahavira Jayanti on 21st April.

Besides, in May, Buddha Purnima on 23rd May, Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) on 17th June, Muharram on 17th July, Independence Day on 15th August, Krishna Janmashtami on 26th August, Eid-e-Milad on 16th September, 2nd October Gandhi Jayanti, October 12 Valmiki Jayanti, Dasara school holiday on October 17 , Diwali on October 31, Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 15 and Christmas on December 25.

Summer vacation has been declared not only in Delhi but also in Chandigarh. Schools in Chandigarh will remain closed from May 23 to June 30, according to the calendar issued by the School Education Department. But the classes new session will start from July 1. However, the teachers will also have to come on some dates during the summer vacation.

This year, summer vacation in Madhya Pradesh will start from May 1 and continue till June 15, 2024. Apart from this, summer vacations for teachers will be from May 1 to May 31, 2024. These vacations are applicable to all private and government schools in the state simultaneously.

Holiday list of some major festivals has also been released. According to this, Dasara holidays will be between 11th to 13th October 2024, Diwali holidays will be between 29th October to 3rd November and winter holidays will be between 31st December 2024 to 5th January 2025.
