The Education Department has issued a revised order that the minimum age for admission to the 1st Standard should be 6 years compulsorily completed by June-01 instead of 5.5 years. The order dated 20-03-2020 issued by the Under Secretary, School Education and Literacy Department has been withdrawn.

According to the RTE Act 2009 and Compulsory Education Rules 2012, the age limit has been fixed for enrolling a child who has completed 6 years compulsorily in the first class as on 1st June of the academic year.

Similarly, earlier it was mandatory to be 5.5 years old to enroll in school after LKG and UKG. It was mandatory to register for 1st standard on June 01 of the academic year. Now this age limit has been changed. Henceforth, the child must be 6 years old to enroll in the 1st standard.

The Education Department has given an opportunity to the applicants who apply for the State Level Best Teacher Award for the year 2022-23 through online within the specified period to submit the remaining and additional points. In this regard, the Commissioner of Public Education Department has issued a circular, inviting applications from eligible teachers for the state level best teacher award for the year 2022-23. He said that the date for submission of application was given till 25-07-2022.

Also, in case of submission of any necessary elements, if there are any missing, pending or additional submissions, Education Department another opportunity has been given from 26-07-2022 to 27-07-2022 to submit them.
