Online education for children: Swayamprabha DTH channel is now for education

New Delhi: The central government is offering online education to students during lockdown. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said there will be 3 channels for primary education and the DTH will be implemented for those without internet.

Online classes are conducted for children via Skype during lockdown. There are 3 channels for primary education and stil more 12 channels will be used. Private companies, including Tata Sky, will be acquired.

200 courses will be implemented for online education. She also said that those who do not have internet access in their home will be given online courses through swayamprabha DTH channel.

Separate online classes are to be arranged to blind and deaf children. A channel will be kept dedicated to each class. Permission has been granted to start online classes at 100 universities. “Manodarpan” Channel has been launched to provide online education for the psychological support of students, parents and educators.
