Hijab has been the subject of controversy not only throughout the state but in the entire country. Government announced holiday for schools and college. Students of the Muslim community are saying the Hijab is our right. Namaz from students at school amidst hijab controversy.

The students have been wearing saffron showl until the hijab is worn. The matter is being heard in the High Court. Awaiting a court decision. In the meantime, a video of government school children doing Namaz at school is currently viral on the social networking site.

Amidst the hijab controversy, the childrens of Anakktadka government school in Kadaba taluk in Dakshina Kannada district have made namaz in school. For the past three weeks, students have been doing namaz in the schoolroom. It is known that 6th and 7th clase students are doing Namaz. The video is currently going viral, and the school staff has not taken action even though they are namaz in the school room. ADMC members have lodged an oral complaint with the Education Department.

The state government on Friday had issued a series of directions to district administrations to main peace, and ensure that the High Court order is not violated. A day after announcing that the students of Classes 1 to 10 can attend schools from Monday, the Karnataka government today extended holidays for degree and diploma colleges till February 16 amid a row over the hijab issue in the state.

Before Karnataka government announced 3 days holidays for school and colleges till February 11. Then extend school holiday till February 12 saturday and school will reopen on Monday February 14. With high schools across the state up to class 10, reopening on February 14, the Karnataka government on Friday issued a series of directions to district administrations, aimed at maintaining peace and that the High Court order is not violated.
