KEA gives bad news to those who are waiting for KCET counselling 2023

Candidates who have appeared for the CET exam under Karnataka Examination Authority will shortly receive the counselling process details. KEA gives bad news to those who are waiting for KCET counselling. The Karnataka Examinations Authority has released nearly 9000 engineering and architecture seats of more than 90 colleges, including prestigious colleges of the state, in the final KCET matrix, reports said.

“Nearly 9,000 seats have been abandoned because the colleges have not obtained the Nomination Certificate (NOC) or are not recognized by the authority,” reports the Deccan Herald. Seats of more than 90 colleges including prestigious colleges of Bengaluru have been abandoned.

These include RV College of Engineering, MS Ramaiah College of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering and BMS College of Engineering. The Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA) has urged the Karnataka Examinations Authority not to start the counselling process until this disagreement is resolved, the report said.

We request you to withdraw the seat metrics published by KEE. We request you not to continue counselling until this problem is resolved. There is a huge difference in the final seat matrix,” the Association of Unaided Private Engineering Colleges wrote to KEA.

“Contents approved by AICTE, Architecture Council of India for private aided and unaided engineering colleges are reviewed. Only those courses approved by the state government, with NOC,” said the Karnataka Examinations Authority.

The KEA notification said that the abandoned seats will be added after the respective colleges submit the approval order or non-objection certificate. KEA has confirmed that it is mandatory for colleges to get approval and NOC from the government.
