KCET Counselling 2023: Seat Allotment 1st round result and other details

KCET Counselling 2023: Karnataka Examination Authority has extended the modification in KCET 2023 option entry. Candidates can edit choices filled in during KCET option entry 2023 till August 14 (4 PM) at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in 2023. KCET mock seat allotment 2023 was announced on August 11.

However, round 1 KCET seat allotment 2023 will be announced on August 16. KCET option entry 2023 last date and time was August 9 upto 10 am. Only those candidates who have qualified the Karnataka CET exam are eligible for KCET counselling registration 2023.

Students are advised to keep documents required for KCET counselling 2023 handy. The counselling process comprises document verification, choice filling KCET option entry, seat allotment, and reporting to the institutes. Earlier, candidates were required to complete the document verification process. The last date for document verification was July 15.

Also, physically disabled candidates had to complete the medical examination by July 12, 2023. During the KCET counselling candidates have to make the choice of the institutes and courses. Before filling the choice candidates can refer to the list of KCET 2023 participating institutes to know the college’s name.

KCET 2023 Counselling: Important Points

Candidates who will participate in the KCET counselling will be eligible for the seat allotment.

In the first step of KCET counselling 2023, candidates will have to report to the counselling centre and get the documents verified.

After document verification, candidates will get the chance to fill out the college & course preferences.

KEA will exercise the seat allotment process considering the rank of the selected candidates, seat availability, college & course preferences etc.

KCET Counselling 2023: Step-wise Procedure:

Qualified candidates have to participate in the counselling of KCET 2023. The Karnataka CET 2023 counselling process will be held in online mode. If the candidates do not complete the CET 2023 counselling process, then they will not be provided admissions.

Procedure of KCET 2023 Counselling:

Step 1: Document Verification and Registration – All of the qualified candidates will have to verify their documents. The procedure of document verification 2023 will be done at the specified centres. All of the required documents have to be produced and a unique ID and password will be given to the candidates after the verification is completed successfully. The documents required for counselling are:

KCET 2023 application form printout.

Proof of application fee payment.

KCET 2023 admit card.

Score card of SSLC/10th Standard.

Score card of 2nd PUC/12th Standard.

Two recent passport size photographs.

Study Certificate Countersigned by the concerned BEO/DDPI.

Any other required documents.

Kannada Medium Certificate.

Income Certificate

Rural Study Certificate.

Caste / Caste Income Certificate.

Parent’s study certificate / Hometown certificate / Domicile certificate / Employment certificate / Cumulative Record / Marks Card, etc., for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats based on the parent’s domicile/study/employment.

Duly sworn in Affidavit of the candidate who claims eligibility under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses C and D. (Regarding Mother Tongue).

Note- After verification, the original documents will be returned to the candidate and KEA will retain one set of photocopies of all the documents. Before leaving the verification counter, an acknowledgment card and a verification slip will be issued to the candidates.

Step 2 – Choice Filling and Locking: Next, the verified candidates will have to log in using their KCET number to fill in their preferred choice of courses and colleges. Before filling out their choices, the candidates will be able to check the course wise, category wise, and college-wise seat matrix which the authorities will release. All of the choices selected by the candidates has to be in the order of preference. The candidates will also be able to add, rearrange or modify their choices before the final date. No changes will be accepted after the choices are locked by the candidates.

Step 3 – Allotment of Seats: After the choice filling process ends, the mock seat allotment result of KCET 2023 will be announced. The authorities will release the mock allotment to let the candidates know their chances of admission based on their merit and preferred seats. The candidates will be able to change their choices. Candidates will be able to check their allotment status in online mode by logging in using their CET number. Two rounds of allotment along with a second extended round and special round will be conducted during KCET 2023 counselling. The provisional allotment letter has to be downloaded and printed out by the candidates.

Step 4 – Reporting at Allotted Institutes: The selected candidates will have to report to their respective allotted institutes to confirm their admission before the last date for kCET document verification 2023. While reporting to the institute, the candidates will have to produce their documents along with the allotment letter and have to pay the KCET counselling fees.
