As the parents were worried, arrangements were made to send BMTC buses to the schools and colleges to send the students home safely. Therefore, confusion has arisen among the students and parents whether tomorrow (Saturday) will be a holiday for these schools and colleges in Bangalore.

Bomb threats were received through anonymous emails to 44 schools across Bengaluru on Friday, causing panic among students, parents and school officials.

The first wave of threats targeted seven schools, including Nepal and Vidyashilpa in Basaveshwara city. One of the schools under threat is opposite Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar’s residence. I was watching TV, the school opposite my house received a threatening mail, I came here to check,” DK Shivakumar told reporters.
