As per the department of pre-university education norms, supplementary examination will not be conducted for practical subjects. Those who were absent should score passing marks in the theory paper itself. As per the details available from the department, there were no absentees reported from any of the centres in Bengaluru North.

Data available from the department shows that around 7,000 II PU students in science stream appeared for the practical examination in Bengaluru North. “There were no absentees reported because of the hijab row and no student was sent away because of that. The examination was conducted peacefully,” said Shriram, DDPU, Bengaluru North education district.

Speaking to reporters in the Assembly on Tuesday, BC Nagesh said, “Some people have opposed the High Court order on the Hijab issue. It is not right for Congress to speak on behalf of them. Students must follow the High Court Hijab order in school, college and exam centers. If you stick to the hijab, a whole year of academic life is wasted. This should not be allowed.

Commenting on the murder case of Hindu activists in Shimoga, Minister Nagesh expressed outrage against the Congress, saying, “The previous government’s withdrawal of the cases of murder convicts has caused repeated incidents of murder.”
