Big Breaking: Karnataka High Court cancel provisional selection list of 15000 primary school teachers

In connection with the recruitment of 15,000 primary school teachers as called by the Department of Public Education, the provisional selection list was published after the entrance examination and enrollment verification. Karnataka High Court cancel provisional selection list of 15000 primary school teachers.

This list has now been quashed by a single member bench of Karnataka High Court. Hundreds of candidates had filed a writ petition in the High Court in this regard. The petition was heard by a single member bench comprising Justice M Nagaprasanna.

Senior advocate Shasikiran Shetty argued before the court that the education department has published a provisional selection list considering husband’s caste and income certificate.

This is illegal. He sought cancellation of provisional selection list as illegal. He also requested the court to consider the father’s caste and income certificate. In this background, the education department has cancelled the temporary selection list of 15 thousand primary school teachers.
