Karnataka Heavy Rainfall: School holiday announced in these places

Schools have been closed in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada Bantwala and Belthangadi taluk due to heavy rains as the IMD has issued an alert for Coastal Karnataka.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast and warning for Karnataka for the next seven days. On July 3, scattered heavy rains are likely in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts. Karnataka Heavy Rainfall: School holiday announced in these places.

Isolated heavy rains are likely in Chikkamagalur and Shivamoga districts and light to moderate rains are likely at some places in the remaining districts of South Karnataka. Has declared a holiday for all Anganwadis and schools in the taluks and according to the order, a holiday has been declared for Anganwadis, government, aided, and private primary and high schools. Wind speed is likely to reach 30-40 kmph with heavy rain/thunderstorm in Belgaum and Dharwad districts.

And moderate rain/thunderstorm with wind speed (30-40 kmph) likely. The weather will be like this in some places of North Inner Karnataka. On July 4, scattered heavy rains are likely in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts. Heavy rain and wind speed of 30-40 kmph are likely in Shimoga district.

And light to moderate rain at few places with sustained wind speed of 30-40 kmph is likely to occur at some places over Bellary and districts of South Karnataka. Sustained wind speed is likely to reach 30-40 kmph with heavy rain/thunderstorm over Belgaum district. And light to moderate rain/thunderstorm with sustained winds reaching wind speed (30-40 kmph) is likely.

On July 5, scattered heavy rains are likely in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts. Isolated heavy rain/thunderstorm with wind speed (40-50 kmph) is likely to occur over Dharwad, Haveri districts. And moderate rain/thunderstorm with wind speed (40-50 kmph) likely.

Such weather may occur at some places in the districts of North Interior Karnataka. Chance of wind speed (30-40 kmph) is high with isolated heavy rain/thunderstorm over Chikmagalur and Shimoga districts. And wind speed is likely to reach (30-40 kmph). Such weather may occur at many places in the districts of South Karnataka.

On July 6, scattered heavy rains are likely in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts. Isolated heavy rain/thunderstorm winds reaching wind speed (40-50 kmph) are likely to occur over Belgaum, Dharwad, Haveri districts and light to moderate rain/thunderstorm winds reaching wind speed (40-50 kmph) are likely. It is likely to occur at some places in the districts of North Interior Karnataka.

July 7 Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada districts are likely to experience scattered heavy rains. Isolated heavy rain/thunderstorm with wind speed (40-50 kmph) and moderate to moderate rain/thunderstorm with wind speed reaching (40-50 kmph) is likely over Haveri district. Such weather will prevail at many places in the districts of North Interior Karnataka.
