All Anganwadi centers, primary schools, high schools, and PUC institutions will remain closed. District administration has declared a holiday for all primary and high schools, PU Colleges, and Anganwadi’s in the Brahmavara, Kundapur Taluks on Saturday, July 6.

She also said that the order states that there is no holiday for Degrees, postgraduate, Diploma, Engineering, and ITI institutions. The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Center (KSNDMC) has forecast widespread rains across the state till July 12, with moderate to heavy rains likely in areas and possibly very heavy rains at isolated places.

The Bengaluru Urban district is set to see steady rainfall till July 8, the IMD noted. According to CS Patil, director of India Meteorological Center in Bengaluru, the coastal and Western Ghats regions have already received significant rainfall in early July. It is noteworthy that 34 mm of rain was recorded in Agumbe on July 3.

In contrast, Malnadu district, which usually sees high rainfall during this period, has now exceeded its expected rainfall. Many sources have reported that Uttara Kannada is also receiving heavy rains and Aghanashini river is flowing in full.
