Karnataka all students and teachers of education institutions have been ordered to read the Preamble of the Constitution during prayer and all must adhere to the Preamble of the Constitution and take an oath to adopt the constitutional principles in their lives and duties.

In the order referred to (4), a model preamble has been given in connection with the use of the Kannada and English versions of the Preamble to the Constitution published by the Legislative Department of the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.

In the circular of this office referred to (2) it is suggested to take necessary action regarding the reading of the Preamble of the Constitution of India by the students every day at prayer time in schools. Hon’ble Chief Minister, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Hon’ble Ministers will read the Preamble of the Constitution of India with 10,000 students in front of Vidhana Soudha at 10.00 am on 15.09.2023.

September 19: Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi is a lively Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha. September 28: Milad An-Nabi/Eid-e-Milad

It is an important day for the Muslim community with prayers, processions and discussions about the life and teachings of the Prophet. In some states, schools offer a holiday on this day to honour the religious observances of Muslim students and staff.

Students and parents should check the school calendar for holidays and contact their schools in case of any confusion regarding holidays.
