Besides, the warning has been given for the onset of monsoon and the education department has warned not to use the dilapidated school rooms. The education department has issued an order to the teachers of government schools to make all preparations before the school starts.

Pre-monsoon rains have already started across the state. The dilapidation of school rooms, toilets and compounds will be inspected and brought to the notice of Taluk Field Education Officer and District Deputy Director and action will be taken for repair. In addition, it has been informed that sweet should be distributed with afternoon food.

They have given notice to start school classes from June 1, but due to the rains, the ditches and rivers have filled up in many parts. Children should not be forced to come to school if the road is damaged. It has been suggested to bring it to the attention of the authorities and declare a holiday for the school.

2023-24 academic schedule details are as follows:

School Duty Days for First Term: 29th May 2023 to 02-10-2023

Second Term School Duty Days: 25-10-23 to 10-04-24

Dasara Holiday: 8-10-23 to 24-10-23

Summer Vacation: 11-4-24 to 28-5-24
