Karnataka Colleges to reopen from July 26, only vaccinated persons allowed

Bengaluru: Karnataka colleges will be reopening from July 26 and only those who are vaccinated will be allowed to attend, the state government has decided. Higher educational institutions will be reopening partially or fully, keeping in place the Covid-19 safety norms.

CM BS Yediyurappa conducted a meeting with ministers after which the decision was announced. Karnataka Deputy CM CN Ashwathnarayan had said on July 16 that 65% of the students studying in government, government-aided, private institutions had been vaccinated.

He had also noted that contact classes would be help to help students appearing for degree course exams. Students can use these classes for any doubt-clearing or other clarifications needed to prepare for the exams.
