The admission process for degree colleges of the state will begin from Monday, July 11. The college education department is getting the admission process done online for the first time.
Same calendar for graduate and post graduate courses is also implemented from this academic year. Last week, The state minister of higher education, CN Ashwath Narayan, stated on Monday that the admissions process for degree-granting institutions in Karnataka will begin on July 11.
For the first time, all colleges’ admission processes would use the same platform (Unified University and College Management System). By using a single login, students can submit applications to any college of their choice without having to physically visit each institution.
Students who recently applied for undergraduate programmes online at various state colleges expressed their outrage and complained about platform technical issues that were impeding their admissions process. The education department minister clarified, however, that students can begin applying on July 11 using the single login interface, which is now free of technical glitches.

The information linked to the marks card can be retrieved by inputting the PUC register number, and caste certificates, income certificates, etc. can also be obtained by using AADHAAR authentication, according to Narayan.
