Bank account holders! Here is warning for you, keep your money safe, don’t do this online

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), country’s central bank, has issued alert for people and warned them of online fraud. India’s central bank through ‘RBI Says’, a Public awareness initiative of the Reserve Bank of India @rbi, has asked citizens to be careful while dealing with online transactions.

Here is a most important message for bank account holders from RBI. Bank account holders must not do this to stop their money being lost

How to keep bank account holders from losing money: RBI has asked people to vigilant and never share PIN, OTP or card details with anyone.  The Reserve Bank of India said it only takes a little effort to keep lot of troubles at bay.  While advising not to share key bank details with strangers, it said one should block their card immediately if it is stolen, lost or compromised in any manner. 

 “The central Bank of India took to twitter and posted, “ @RBI Kehta Hai.. A little caution takes care of a lot of trouble. Never respond to requests to share PIN, OTP or bank account details. Block your card if stolen, lost or compromised. #rbikehtahai #StaySafe #BeAware #BeSecure  http://facebook.com/RBIsays.” 

With the graph of cybercrime cases rising in India, It would be only wise to pay heed to the warnings of the RBI and employ caution while making online transactions or dealing with fraudulent messages and calls. 

Several banks and financial institution have warned their customers recently about the cyberfrauds happening across the country. They also put out campaigns on Twitter or other platform to keep their customers informed and alert.  The State Bank of India (SBI) also regularly warns its customers on Twitter and also advises them what to do in case of fraud happening to them.

Only, couple of days bank, the India’s largest public lender has released 9 points guidelines while transacting in any ATM.
