Redmi Turbo 5 India Launch Confirmed With Massive Battery and Fast Charging
Redmi is preparing to launch the Turbo 5 in India on June 16 with a large battery powerful chipset premium display and advanced durability features aimed at performance focused smartphone users.

Redmi has officially teased the arrival of the Redmi Turbo 5 in the Indian market, with the smartphone set to debut on June 16. After making its first appearance in China earlier this year, the device is now preparing for its Indian launch through Amazon. While the company has not yet revealed the complete specification sheet, several details have surfaced through teasers and industry leaks, creating excitement among smartphone enthusiasts.
One of the biggest highlights of the upcoming handset is expected to be its huge 7560mAh battery. Combined with support for 100W fast charging, the phone could appeal to users who prioritize long battery life and minimal charging downtime. Such a battery capacity is expected to comfortably handle intensive daily use, including gaming, streaming, and productivity tasks.
The Redmi Turbo 5 is also rumored to feature a 6.59 inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. Reports suggest the device will use a flat panel design and support a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for enhanced scrolling and gaming performance. The smartphone may arrive with a premium metal frame, adding to its overall durability and flagship style appearance.
Performance is expected to be driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. The chipset is likely to be paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, offering faster multitasking, improved app loading times, and efficient power management. These hardware upgrades could position the phone as a strong contender in the upper midrange smartphone segment.
Camera specifications indicate a balanced setup designed for everyday photography. The rear panel is expected to house a 50 megapixel primary sensor alongside an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera. For selfies and video calls, users may get a 20 megapixel front facing camera. While not aimed exclusively at camera enthusiasts, the configuration should provide a capable photography experience across different scenarios.
Additional features are expected to include dual stereo speakers for immersive audio and a large 5300mm² vapor chamber cooling system. The cooling technology could help maintain stable performance during extended gaming sessions and demanding workloads by effectively managing heat.
Durability appears to be another major focus. The Redmi Turbo 5 is rumored to carry IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, offering strong resistance against dust and water exposure. Despite packing a large battery, the handset is said to maintain a slim profile with a thickness of 8.18mm and a weight of around 204 grams.
Pricing details remain under wraps for now, but the official launch event on June 16 is expected to reveal all remaining information. With a powerful processor, premium display, advanced cooling system, and one of the largest batteries in its class, the Redmi Turbo 5 is shaping up to be one of the most talked about smartphone launches of the month.
