Samsung Unveils Exynos 1680 Chipset with AI Boost Ahead of Galaxy A57 5G Launch

Samsung has officially introduced its latest mobile processor, the Exynos 1680, aiming to raise the bar for midrange smartphones. The new chip is expected to debut with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A57 5G, bringing noticeable improvements in performance, artificial intelligence, and camera capabilities.

Built on a 4nm EUV process, the Exynos 1680 is designed to deliver a more efficient and responsive experience compared to its predecessor. It features an upgraded CPU, GPU, and NPU, all working together to ensure smoother multitasking, faster processing, and improved power efficiency for everyday users.

One of the key highlights of the new chipset is its graphics performance. Equipped with the Xclipse 550 GPU based on AMD RDNA 3 architecture, the processor is built to handle demanding visuals with ease. Samsung claims the new architecture offers around 16 percent better performance, allowing users to enjoy more immersive gaming and richer graphics, closer to a console like experience on mobile devices.

Artificial intelligence is another area where the Exynos 1680 makes a strong impact. The chipset comes with a powerful neural processing unit capable of handling up to 19.6 trillion operations per second. This enables faster and more accurate AI driven tasks, from real time image enhancements to smarter app behavior. A dedicated vector engine further improves how AI features perform, making interactions feel more fluid and intelligent.

Camera performance has also received a significant upgrade. The chipset supports image sensors of up to 200 megapixels, and its advanced image signal processor is optimized for both photography and videography.
