Motorola is preparing to bring the Edge 70 Neo to the Indian market, and fresh information about the upcoming smartphone has now added more details to the expected specifications. The phone has reportedly appeared on Geekbench, giving an early look at its processor, memory and software.
The latest listing suggests that Motorola is positioning the Edge 70 Neo as a performance focused midrange smartphone. Along with a Qualcomm chipset, the device is expected to offer a high refresh rate display, multiple cameras and a large battery. Some of these specifications are based on leaks and reports, so the final configuration could differ when Motorola officially introduces the phone.
The Geekbench listing is particularly interesting because it identifies the chipset used by the smartphone. The device was spotted with the Qualcomm QTI SM7635 platform, which is associated with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. The chipset uses an octa core configuration, with four cores reportedly clocked at 1.80GHz, three cores reaching 2.40GHz and one prime core running at 2.50GHz.
Graphics performance is expected to be handled by an Adreno 810 GPU. In the Geekbench testing, the Motorola Edge 70 Neo reportedly achieved 723 points in the single core test and 2,943 points in the multicore test. The listing also mentions 6GB of RAM, while Android 16 is expected to be available on the phone from the beginning.
For everyday users, the combination could make the Edge 70 Neo an interesting option in the midrange segment. The Snapdragon processor should provide enough performance for regular applications, multitasking and demanding mobile use, while the latest Android version could give the device a more up to date software experience.
The display is another area where Motorola could give the phone a premium touch. Earlier reports have suggested that the Edge 70 Neo may come with a 1.5K resolution display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. Such protection would make the device more resistant to dust and water exposure, although users should still follow Motorola’s official guidance regarding the limits of water resistance.
The Edge 70 Neo is also expected to arrive in three colour options. Motorola has not yet revealed the final colour names or confirmed all design details, but the company appears to be preparing the phone for the competitive Indian midrange smartphone market.
