Honda H’Ness Name Trademarked; Could Be for Honda 2Wheelers’ Upcoming Premium Bike

Mumbai: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is all set to launch a new premium bike in India on September 30, 2020. And the bike could be called, the Honda H’Ness, a stylised word for Highness.

This is indicative from the fact that HMSI’s parent company Honda Motor Co. Ltd, has trademarked the name in India. We reckon the upcoming Honda premium bike in India may be christened Honda H’ness. we do not know much else about the upcoming bike. Oh wait, Honda 2Wheelers India did tease the bike’s exhaust note last week. And based on that, we are inclined to believe the premium bike will have a Royal Enfield bike or two in its crosshairs.

Why do we say that? Well, because the exhaust note suggests the all-new bike has a displacement of somewhere between 300 cc to 500 cc. And guess which brand leads that segment? Yep; Royal Enfield. Plus, it is common knowledge that the Japanese bike manufacturer has been working on a bike to take on Royal Enfield. Hence, the conclusion.

The only other thing we know about the upcoming Honda bike in India is that it will be retailed via the Honda BigWing chain of premium showrooms. In case you forgot, the Honda BigWing dealership network is meant solely for the retail of premium bikes.
