boAt has entered a new phase in its audio product lineup with the launch of the Airdopes Prime 800D, its first smart audio device featuring the company’s CREST AI platform. The new approach moves beyond the traditional role of wireless earbuds by adding AI based functions designed for everyday use.
The Airdopes Prime 800D is priced at Rs 1,999 in India. It is available in Raven Black and Royal Blue and can be purchased through Amazon and the company’s online store.
The biggest talking point is CREST AI, which has been developed with Google Gemini technology. boAt is positioning the platform around what it describes as Intelligent Ears, with the aim of making earbuds more useful for conversations, information and hands free assistance.
Instead of using earbuds only for music and calls, the company wants users to interact with AI through voice based features. The platform is designed to understand context and assist with everyday interactions while the user continues with other activities.
Audio quality remains an important part of the Airdopes Prime 800D. The earbuds feature 11mm dynamic drivers tuned for boAt Signature Sound and support Dolby Audio. This combination is intended to provide a richer listening experience across music and other supported content.
The earbuds also include four microphones along with AI ENx technology. The microphone system is designed to improve voice capture during calls and other voice based interactions.
Battery life is another notable feature. boAt claims that the Airdopes Prime 800D can deliver up to 45 hours of playback with the charging case. Actual usage time can vary depending on factors such as volume, connectivity and the features being used.
Multipoint connectivity is also included, allowing the earbuds to work with more than one compatible device. This can be useful for people who regularly switch between devices during the day.
CREST AI is not limited to the Airdopes Prime 800D. boAt has also brought the platform to the Airdopes Prime 701 ANC and Nirvana Ion ANC. The company is expected to introduce the technology across additional products as it expands its focus on voice based experiences.
The launch is part of boAt’s wider collaboration with Google Cloud. Through this partnership, the company is working to bring AI capabilities from the technology level into consumer products that can be used in everyday situations.
The idea behind the platform is to create a layer of intelligence across boAt devices. As the technology develops, the company could add more context based and hands free functions to its audio products.
For consumers, the change means that wireless earbuds are increasingly becoming more than simple listening accessories. Features such as voice interaction, AI assistance, improved microphones and multipoint connectivity are gradually giving personal audio devices a wider role in daily routines.
The Airdopes Prime 800D combines these new AI features with familiar audio hardware and a relatively accessible launch price. Whether users make regular use of the AI functions will depend on how well the features perform in everyday situations.
With CREST AI now appearing across multiple boAt products, the company is signalling a broader shift toward smart audio devices that combine sound, connectivity and artificial intelligence in a single product.
