The 2023 edition of iPhones, iPhone 15 series is likely to go on sale starting September 22. It is very likely that in India the iPhone 15 series will be available from September 22 onwards. These all series phone are expected to be powered by the A17 Bionic chip.

The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are expected to have some major upgrades over the standard models. And this time, the Pro Max of the iPhone 15 will get the periscope lens camera. As per analyst Ming Chi Kuo, the standout feature driving interest in the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to be the periscope lens camera.

This advanced camera system will allow for an impressive optical zoom range of 5x–6x, compared to the 3x optical zoom in the current models. This innovative periscope lens camera will be an exclusive feature for the Pro Max this year, and it will later make its way to the smaller iPhone 16 Pro in the following year.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also said that Apple is targeting a significant portion of its initial iPhone 15 series shipments for the top-tier model, the iPhone 15 Pro Max, set to be released next month. It’s estimated that around 35–40% of the shipments will be allocated to the Pro Max, making it the most prominent choice among the four models in the lineup.

This strategic move demonstrates Apple’s confidence in the Pro Max’s appeal, as the company plans to ship 10–20% more units than the iPhone 14 Pro Max from last year.
