The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in a circular has notified the revised charges that will be applicable to residents who want to generate a new Aadhaar card or want to update their details on the existing Aadhaar card. The updates can be related to photo, biometrics, address, email, mobile number. Along with this citizens reaching the age of 5 and 15 are mandated to update their biometrics and other details. The revised fees that citizens will be required to pay in order to generate a new Aadhaar card or to update their personal information on an existing Aadhaar card have been announced by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in a circular.

Updates can be related to a person’s biometrics, address, email, phone number, and other information. Additionally, citizens must update their biometric data and other information when they reach the ages of 5 and 15.

-The service charges for Home Enrolment Service will be charged in addition to the normal fee applicable for demographic /biometric updates in Aadhaar.

-If the service is availed by more than one resident at the same address (as per Aadhaar), Rs 700/- service charge (including GST) will be charged for the first resident and @ Rs 350/- (including GST) for each additional resident.

-All the rates mentioned above are inclusive of GST and Registrars are requested to submit the Tax Invoice against the Assistance to be provided by UIDAI for processing the payment.

How to change address, DoB, mobile number, email id, and photo on an Aadhaar card?

There are two methods of changing these details:

1. Offline- By visiting an enrolment centre. To know the nearest enrolment centre visit uidai.gov.in website.

2. Online- Only address can be changed online with a registered mobile number through mAadhaar.
