Samba has become the first district in Jammu and Kashmir to vaccinate everyone in the age group of 18-44 with at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. Taking note of this achievement, J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha recently congratulated the health workers and Covid management team.

“Congratulations to COVID management team of Samba & health care workers for their tireless efforts to ensure 100% vaccination of above 18 years of age. Samba becomes first distt of J&K to achieve this milestone & I am sure other districts will catch up soon”, Office of J&K LG said in its tweet.
As per the district administration in Samba, more than 2 lakh 43 thousand people in the age group of 18-44 have been inoculated with the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine and as many as 77,767 people from the same age group have been given the second dose as well.
