Maharashtra Reports nearly 40,000 Covid cases in 24 hours

Maharashtra Covid cases: Maharashtra continues to report a high number of Covid-19 cases. On Tuesday, the state logged 39,207 fresh cases and 53 deaths. The positivity rate dropped to 20.05 percent with 1,95,542 samples tested. Meanwhile, 38,824 recoveries and 53 deaths were also reported in the same time span.

Maharashtra capital Mumbai on Tuesday reported 6,149 new cases, 193 infections more than yesterday’s tally. With this, the city’s active tally reached in Maharashtra 44,084, while the cumulative total reached 1,011,967. Of the new cases, 5165 patients are said to be asymptomatic.

In Maharashtra Currently, there are 44,084 patients. The maximum city also 7 deaths today, with this the toll reached 16,476. In the same time span, the city also saw 12,810 recoveries taking the recovery total to 948,744. 47,700 were tested in the city in the past 24 hours.

Karnataka log 41,457 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours. Karnataka minister for Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education, Dr Sudhakar took to Twitter to say that the positivity rate in the state is now 22.30%.

The Karnataka Health Minister also informed that capital city Bengaluru itself reported 25,595 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.  8,353 people recovered from the novel coronavirus and were discharged from hospitals in the state in the past one day. Tuesday’s addition took the total active cases in the state to 2,50,381, which in Bengaluru only is 178000.

The IT hub of India Bengaluru reported 7 seven Covid related deaths in a day. Including those of Bengaluru, Karnataka reported 20 Covid deaths in the past 24 hours. The state has also conducted 1,85,872 in the past one day.  “A week on week increase of 250% is noticed in case numbers, now about 22000.
