Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa has said that the state government has prepared the Yuva Nidhi Scheme to provide unemployment allowance to diploma and graduates, the 5th guarantee scheme of the state government, and it will be implemented from January 2024.

The money will be credited to the student’s account. Step to apply for Youth Fund Scheme:

Application for this scheme must be submitted through Seva Sindhu portal.

A self-declaration of being unemployed is sufficient.

This scheme is only applicable for Kannadigas. This scheme is applicable only to those who do not get job even after six months of completion of education

This scheme is limited to two years for an unemployed person. The project is stopped only after getting a job in two years.

Payment will be made through DBT every month.

Even if you have got a job, you should self-declare and stop receiving the allowance. Otherwise fine will be imposed.
Graduation certificate, Aadhaar card, PAN card and residence certificate are mandatory for this application.
But the government has not yet clarified whether BPL or food ration card is mandatory for this scheme.

The Congress government of the state, which has already implemented four guarantee schemes out of the five guarantee schemes, is now planning to implement the Youth Fund Scheme. It is true that the government is securing the vote bank for the Lok Sabha elections by filling the pockets of the unemployed with pocket money.
