Sub Registrar Office New Online Services: Get EC, Marriage certificate from home

Sub Registrar Office New Online Services: Public in the state can now get marriage certificate online from home by paying a prescribed fee. For this the Government Of Karnataka Department of Stamps and Registration has developed Online Hindu Marriage Registration Software. Now get Encumbrance Certificate (EC), Marriage certificate from home.

Karnataka Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda on Thursday released seven different types of software for public service, including an online Hindu marriage registration software, a separate software for obtaining online debt certificates before 2004, at the Malleswaram sub-registrar’s office in the city.

1. Online Hindu Marriage Registration Software:

The Registration of Hindu Marriages Act, 1955 has introduced a system to simplify the registration of marriages where the public can get the marriage certificate online without visiting the Sub-Registrar office by paying a prescribed fee after approval by the Sub-Registrar. Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda inaugurated seven new online software on Thursday.

2. Special Marriages Registration Software :

The Registration of Special Marriages Act, 1954 facilitates the registration of marriages by allowing the public to apply online, pay the fees and fix a date and time for marriage registration at the Sub-Registrar Office.

3. Pre-2004 Debt Certificate Software through Online:

Presently, for pre-2004 Encumbrance Certificate (EC), the public has to fill up the application form, pay the fees through Khazane-2 Challan, submit the application to the concerned Sub-Registrar Office, and get the EC physically. To facilitate this process, public should apply online for pre-2004Encumbrance Certificate (EC).

After that a system has been implemented to pay the fees online directly from the bank account to the treasury and download the EC uploaded by the sub-registrars in their login. Due to this, public will not need to visit Sub-Registrar Office to get EC of any year.

4. Pre-2004 certified copy software through online:

Attested copies of documents registered prior to 2004 (CC) Public has to fill the application form and pay the fees through Khazan-2 Challan and submit it to the concerned Sub-Registrar Office and physically get the CC.

To simplify this system, a system has been implemented where the public can apply online, pay the fees online directly from the bank account to the treasury and download the CC uploaded by the sub-registrars in their login. Because of this, the public can get CC of any year. There is no need to visit Sub-Registrar Office to get CC.

5. Software for obtaining Agricultural Land Encumbrance Certificate through GIS:

A system of selecting the village through GIS has been implemented at the time of application by the farmers / public to get the Agricultural Land Debt Certificate easily. In this system the agricultural land details are filled automatically. Due to this, an accurate Encumbrance Certificate can be obtained.

6. Pre-Registration Verification Software:

At the time of registration, several offices have to be waded through to correct the legal complications arising out of misclassification of documents, undervaluation of assets, misinterpretation of law and other reasons due to public’s misunderstanding.

Also, if there is a deficiency fee for the documents, there is a possibility that the documents will not be considered as evidence in the courts. And these charges remain as a charge to the property. To prevent this, a system of document classification, asset valuation and fees verification has been implemented before registration. This system has been implemented to protect public interest by levying proper charges.

7. Implementation of Online Calculator in e-Stamp:

Sack Hauling Corporation of India Ltd.(SHCIL) is providing e-stamp papers to the public at Authorized Collection Centers (ACC) for obtaining e-stamp papers for the stamp duty prescribed in the Schedule to the Karnataka Stamp Act, 1957 based on the nature of the document. From this, the e-stamp paper will be issued for the fixed stamp fee.
